Unions settle desalination privacy case with Thiess, seek talks with Townsend

Unions have settled a Federal Court privacy law suit against Victorian desalination plant head contractor Thiess Degremont stemming from revelations that two of its site managers had engaged Bruce Townsend and his company Australia Security and Investigations (Tas) Pty Ltd to covertly gather information about the project's employees and job applicants.
