Senate inquiry approves 457 Bill in face of growing opposition

A Senate inquiry majority has acknowledged the "significant opposition" to the re-introduction of labour market testing for 457 visas, but has concluded that proposed amendments to the Migration Act will ensure that the program provides the right balance between ensuring job opportunities for Australian workers and enabling employers to fill skilled vacancies.
