Record $2.2m damages award for BHP worker with mesothelioma

The NSW Dust Diseases Tribunal has awarded more than $2.2 million in damages to a 54-year-old former BHP Billiton worker with mesothelioma who was exposed to asbestos while working on blast furnaces at the company's now closed Newcastle steelworks.
