Parliament passes sex and age discrimination protections
The Federal Government's amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act - including establishing breastfeeding as a separate ground and extending existing family responsibility protections - have passed through parliament, but with the Opposition successful in removing protections from indirect discrimination on family responsibility grounds.
