FWC reinforces need for strict compliance with updated bargaining notice rules

A new FWC ruling has again demonstrated the need for employers to strictly comply with the stiffer post-2012 requirements for advising employees of their right to appoint bargaining agents, with Commissioner Tim Lee refusing on Friday to approve an agreement covering Boral's Tasmanian drivers despite its endorsement by all representatives including the TWU.
