UK minimum pay rises raise risk of offshoring, automation

Minimum wage increases have led to "modest" reductions in low-skilled jobs that are vulnerable to offshoring and automation in the UK, according to a report prepared for the Low Pay Commission. Meanwhile, another study found the first step towards the 60% minimum wage has had "little adverse effect" on job retention.
