Qantas maintenance jobs stay onshore for now
Qantas has announced today it will shut down its Boeing 747 heavy maintenance operation in Sydney by May, with 480 jobs there to go. It will retain the remainder of its wide-body aircraft heavy maintenance capacity in Australia for now, but require it to reach benchmarks against world’s best practice to be assured of its long-term future.
