Penalty rates legislation coming by Thursday
The Albanese Government will introduce legislation this week to prohibit annualised salaries arrangements from "absorbing" award-enshrined penalty rates and overtime if they leave workers worse off, while employers behind a major retail award conditions buy-out bid claim the approach undermines upcoming productivity talks.
