New MP calls for tax credits for low paid workers
New Labor MP Mark Butler has called in his first speech to Federal Parliament for a new look at providing tax credits to boost the real earnings of low-paid workers, while another new ALP member, Amanda Rishworth says she gained first hand experience of the pressure employers can impose on young workers when she refused to sign an AWA at 19 and was no longer offered work.
