FWA rejects Alcoa ballot over contractors clause; Refinery workers strike
The AWU has failed to secure a protected action ballot at Alcoa's Pinjarra alumina refinery in WA after Fair Work Australia found it was seeking non-permitted content. Meanwhile, about 1,000 employees at several of the company's other major sites in the State will hold a two-hour stop work meeting today.
