Burrow confident of deal with Government on ABCC; ACTU policy reveals unions will press for further change, test new federal laws

With unions set to next week again endorse a call to abolish the ABCC and the BCII Act at ACTU Congress in Brisbane, the peak body's president Sharan Burrow has downplayed the likelihood of the issue spilling into a confrontation with the Federal Government at the ALP's national conference in July, saying she was confident there would be a negotiated outcome.
