Award modernisation "soul destroying", says ASU; AiG tells a different story

The ASU has used the Senate inquiry into the transitional IR legislation to argue that the AIRC has made modern awards that clearly disadvantaged whole classes of employees, predominantly women. It was an argument the AiG went on to reject, while the University of Adelaide's Professor Andrew Stewart told the committee that addressing disadvantage resulting from award modernisation was best dealt with by the AIRC in its transitional proceedings.
