The Albanese Labor Government has today introduced legislation to begin overhauling the aged care system, including a requirement for a registered nurse to be on duty at every facility, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while the legislation's regulation impact statement says raising rates of pay will be critical to recruiting the sector's enlarged workforce.
