ACTU calls for new measures to protect workers from fallout of US financial crisis

ACTU president Sharan Burrow has today put forward proposals to protect Australian working people from mortgage pressures and the financial crisis that is unfolding in the US, while she has also renewed her call for the Federal Government to plug "gaps" in its IR plans and pledged that unions are ready to take action to combat climate change and drive growth in green jobs.
