Tribunal rules on discrimination, OHS conflict

In two cases illustrating the difficulty for employers of managing conflicting obligations under anti-discrimination and OHS laws, a NSW tribunal has ruled that an employer was wrong to refuse to re-employ a worker after surgery, but upheld the decision of another employer to refuse an injured woman longer shifts.
