Law firm's chicanery earns $184,000 fine
A court has ordered a law firm's service company and its director to pay an employee $184,000 in penalties plus costs for withholding her entitlements after she resigned and deceitfully trying to avoid paying her by creating a scheme of "artifice and deceit" by filing "unreasonable" cross claims.
